Does anyone know if its possible to start a server (public/private --doesn't matter) without using the "rent-a-server" crap?
I've searched for it but couldn't find a workaround, maybe someone here has a solution.
Thanks -gS

Nope, there is no way to do that =//
Not really, because DICE picked up some different hosting company's that has their reputation high on different country's with many customers.
And i think DICE is sending out licenses to let the hosting company's host Battlefield 3 servers.
There is no way to make Battlefield 3 servers work even if you got the game files because it won't make connection with the masterserver.
